Who We Are
Interstate Asphalt of Washington is a Seattle-based team that lives and paves in the Pacific Northwest. Residential driveways, commercial parking lots, chip seal on long rural drives, sealcoat maintenance, and the kind of repairs that keep a lot honest for another decade.
PNW ground is tough on pavement. Saturated winters soften the subgrade. Old Douglas firs and cedars heave drives from below. Marine air near the Sound eats at edges, and elevation up past North Bend and Snoqualmie puts pavement through proper freeze-thaw. Pavement here fails from underneath first, so we spec the base and the drainage to match. Not the cheapest way. The right way.

Interstate paved our driveway up in Kirkland last month and I couldn't be happier. The crew walked the site with me, wrote up an honest quote that same afternoon, and showed up on the morning they said they would. Job was done in a day and a half and the edges are sharp. No upselling, no nonsense. These folks know their trade.
We have a long rural drive out past Carnation and the Interstate team talked us through chip seal as an alternative to full pavement. Saved us a small fortune and it looks great. Held up through a wet winter just fine. Crew was polite, cleaned up after themselves, and the owner personally checked the finished job before leaving.
Had our parking lot repaved over a weekend so we didn't lose business. The Interstate crew worked around our hours, communicated every step, and the finished lot looks brand new. Fair price, clean crew, no surprise invoices. Already have them lined up for sealcoating next spring.
